Keep Charleston Beautiful (KCB) was founded in 1977 by Mayor Joseph P. Riley to provide education, awareness, and beautification programs for residents and visitors of the City of Charleston.  Comprised of an active Board of Directors, KCB is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and the state agency, Keep South Carolina Beautiful.
